Parking at new haven train station12/10/2023 For more information, consult your GPS.ĭepending on where you live in Wilton, you can travel to GCT via the Branchville, Wilton or Cannondale stations on the Danbury Branch of the Metro-North New Haven line. Travel either via Ridgefield to Hwy 684, or via Route 33 or 53/57 to CT-15 or CT-95 depending on traffic conditions. There are multiple routes to NYC depending on your Redding location. Parking at Wilton and Cannondale is the province of the town (20). There are no ticket machines and no staffed ticket office. Cannondale Station is on Cannon Road, just off Route 7, adjoining the Cannondale Village Shopping Center. The Wilton Station is a few hundred yards from Center Street near the intersection of Route 7 and 33. The station is served by Westport Star Taxi (20). There is a wheelchair ramp to the platform. Parking is handled by the Town of Ridgefield (20). If using Branchville station, there are no ticket machines and no staffed ticket office. Annual parking permits (as available) can be purchased Monday through Saturday at the recycling center, or ordered at the town clerk’s office during regular business hours. Annual or daily parking is available for a fee. It has full ADA access, but no ticket machines or windows. Redding station is located on Long Ridge Road, a couple of minutes from Route 53. Redding to NYCĭepending on where you live in Redding, you can travel to GCT via the Branchville, Wilton, Cannondale or Redding stations on the Danbury Branch of the Metro-North New Haven line. Most commonly, take the CT-15 to the CT-95 into Manhattan, or take CT-15 to the Hutchinson River Parkway and onto the Westside Highway. There are multiple routes to NYC from New Canaan. Daily parking is available and there is no wait for a permit. The Town of New Canaan operates the parking lot. There is no staffed ticket office and no machines at this location. The Talmadge Hill station is located at 1 Talmadge Hill Road. Daily rates are available but there is a long waiting list for permits. Parking is offered through the Town of New Canaan. There is no staffed ticket office at this location, but there are two ticket machines located in the middle of the platform west of the station building. The New Canaan station is located at 118 Elm Street. Both stations require possible transfer at Stamford Train station for travel to GCT. New Canaan commuters have two choices when commuting to New York City, both on the New Haven line of Metro North. Manhattan is an easy drive via 684 to the Hutchinson River Parkway or the Saw Mill Parkway and down the Westside Highway. The station is served by Westport Star Taxi (227-3063). You can also choose to use the Branchville train station off Route 7 in Ridgefield, located about five minutes down Branchville Road from the center of town. Parking at Katonah and Goldens Bridge is handled by Allright Corp at 888-682-PARK. For people living in the north end of the town, Purdys train station, off Route 116, is another good option. Goldens Bridge, one stop north of Katonah, offers ample parking and is also frequented by Ridgefield commuters. Katonah, while offering the shortest train ride, is often inconvenient for parking, but the HART shuttle operates from Main Street to the Katonah train station daily. New York City commuters can either travel via Katonah, Goldens Bridge or Purdys train stations.
